If you're in the UK, and have Sky or Cable, then you can watch the Who show
from the Roundhouse just by pressing the Red button on your remote.
Whilst watching, say, BBC1, press the red button, and choose, strangely, the
"Kasabian Concert" option. You can then choose to watch a looped showing of
The Who recorded this weekend.
I watched some of it last night. The cameras were right up close, and the
pictures were incredibly clear. Showed every unshaven hair on their chins,
and every globule of saliva on Roger's lips. They looked really, really
haggard and ugly (I actually mean that in a good, rough, Who-like, way).
I saw Fragments, Wire & Glass, Tea and Theatre, and Who Are You before going
to bed. Yesterday was such a Who overdose! I swear I even dreamt about
The Who last night.
Also this morning, on Radio 1, the DJ was talking about some award show
yesterday. The Who were there.
U2 won a lifetime achievement award. As part of speech, Bono talked about
seeing The Kids Are Alright a few days ago. It reminded him why he's in the
rock business. He listed some relevant examples from the film; these
included "when the drummer kicks the singer in the back of the head".
Apparently, at this point, U2's drummer, standing behind Bono, just nodded
and winked at the audience.
