They played a very good version of Black Widows Eyes, with the full band,
and Pete on acoustic guitar.
It's great that, with a new album coming out, they're able to pick and
choose between such a good choice of songs to promote it. Usually, if a
band has a new album out, you'll only ever hear them promoting the obvious
one or two singles from it.
The most surprising bit of the Parky show last night though, was the
adverts. There was a new commercial for Endless Wire. The advert uses 3D
grapics, based on the CD cover. "Its Not Enough" plays over the top of it.
"Best Who album since Quadrophenia" was one of the quotes mentioned in the
ad. I'm starting to agree.
