Well it happened last night at 1055 uk time, smack in the middle of the
broadcast of the Madonna concert in London earlier this year on our
channel 4. So I taped Madge, and hoped my brother in law had set his dvd
recorder up to record the Who's show for me.
The BBC broadcast 50 minutes of the 80 minute concert, and as far as I
can remember they broadcast the following songs -
Can't explain
Who are you
Endless wire
We got a hit
Baba O'Riley
My Generation
Mirror Door
Made my dream come true
Pinball Wizard
Amazing Journey
See me feel me/ Listening to you
Tea and theatre
The wholly ironic thing was that the programme was always talked about
as the premier of the "mini opera" when the Who didn't play all of it,
and the BBC dropped most of what was played from the broadcast!
Lots of front row shots; McMullens, Hurleys, Ron, Bjorn, Paul, Drew,
Ozzie, I saw ya!
Cheers,
John
