What a kind and thoughtful post.  You made good points about it not  being a 
"band" on the record and about Roger's overreaching. I feel that way  too 
about some of the songs.
 
Although it wasn't what you may have been expecting, thanks for the respect  
you write with toward many of us. 
 
I feel sad, like part of you is dying.  Your respect for Pete.  The first 
time I sensed it was in NY 2004 when you enjoyed being with  us fellow freaks 
more than seeing the Who.  We're not *that* much  fun.
 
I was looking forward to your opinion and as usual, you spoke exactly what  
you see. 
You're an honest man and a great writer.  I hope this album grows on  you 
eventually.
 
In fact, I hope you fall in love one day and get conquered by it.
