I simply don't know what motivates a person to make disparaging comments 
when you see your fellow listers enjoying the shit out of the new music and 
sharing their emotional reactions.  I'm not saying you should stifle your 
opinion, but there is a time when silence is a good path.

I (along with most people, I'd think) participate on this list to 'enhance 
my enjoyment of the band and their music.'
Both you and Ernie have been complete detractors from this simple goal, to 
the point of me searching for another list.  Fret not.  I'm not leaving, if 
only to ensure your kind doesn't rule the roost.
But damn, what sort of reaction were you looking for??

A)  "Oh!  Thanks so much Jimthenonwhofan for sharing your insight!"
B) "Really?  Hmmmm, maybe I need to have another listen.  How could I be so 
off about this?"
C) "Well, you heard it here first!  The new album is a 'spotty record, like 
Face Dances and It's Hard.'  DAMN!  We've been had!

The reaction I'm sure you felt you were going to get was something more 
along the lines of silence and people thinking "f-you."

Am I right?? !!!!   :-D
