>Desmond gets his sticks out for star-studded bash
Philip Green, Michael Grade and Sir Alan Sugar were among business types who
braved the innards of Old Billingsgate fish market in London last night to
hear the rock band RD Crusaders play for Evelina Children's Hospital.
The "unique musical line-up" (as described by the Express) included on
drums, Express and OK! magazine proprietor Richard Desmond, on lead guitar,
the Who's Roger Daltrey, and on vocals Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant and
warbler Lulu.
It's a busy week for Desmond. Tonight OK! celebrates its 10th anniversary
and his mother her 90th birthday. To avoid being double booked, Desmond has
combined the two gigs - so both audiences can applaud another round of
banging (on his drums).
