I know, but how can that be?
I'm having difficulty with this.
Like I've been deceived or something.
His Website postings are (or at least were) exclusively about The Who,
what's happening, excitement for the future, joy of playing with Pete,
Rog and the boys, etc.
You could *taste* the joy in his words!
His depression was palpable when he wasn't made part of The Band (again,
was that list speculation??).
How can a person be soooooo psyched and not be a fan???
He seemed like the *ultimate* fan!
He was one of us!
Why is he reaching out so to us fans, then????
I have to ask when that interview was?
Was it right around the same time Rabbit posted some disparaging remarks
about Pete and The Who?
I can't remember what they were (or when that was on the calendar), but
they sure did set of a flurry of speculation of why Rabbit was mad at
Pete and The Who.
>He plays what he has to
He has no choice! ;-)
>(and quite well, I hasten to add),
Absolutely. And, with no chicken-bob.
>then goes about his business. At this point, the presumption is that
he
>knows NO Who songs that haven't been on a set list.
But, in my book he's a fan.
Just like Rog and Pete and John and Keith and Kenney....are/were fans.
Did they go home and pull out WBN and put it in the rotation on their CD
players?
Of course not. I'm sure over saturation is in play.
But, hell, you *have* to be a fan to continue to play the music.
In my book, they are all fans.
They love The Who, even Rabbit.
You simply can't get as excited as Rabbit does, to go out and play music
that you don't really like.
I can't believe he is only excited about being in front of people.
