I like when Pete is angry.  His descriptions are full of thought, not  just 
mere rebellion against authority. He's a three dimensional person. He  
considers what *is* and what *should be* instead of just spouting off  about what 
shouldn't be.  
 
He can love a God that allows -for a time- man to exercise his free  will to 
assume a position they should not have. He can separate the two.  God is not 
gilded.  God is solid gold.  This God became a man  named Jesus and let His 
creatures hang him on a tree. This was the most  brilliant master-stroke in the 
history of the universe.
