Thank you, Bruce, for mentioning this. I have always found it amusing that
people on here are comfortable continually putting down O&S based on one
person who doesn't even cause trouble anymore, and yet they continue to
tolerate the nasty wars that go on here. It's unbelievably hypocritical.

Very true. And on the other end, I met Bruce in person after 2 years of
online correspondence, and realized I had nothing in common with him. He's
now my mortal enemy.
Paul, I've been on this list in its various incarnations for 10 years now,
and have greatly appreciated all that you've done. But I wouldn't blame you
for shutting it down. You've been warning against flames and personal
attacks for as long as I can remember. Sadly, some people can't help
themselves when it comes to flaming, and I honestly don't see that changing
without you having to do some major babysitting.
