Rock legends The Kinks are Britain's top band for TV adverts in the US, 
earning £6 million a year. The sixties group has enjoyed a resurgence with 
their music now being used to sell washing powder, computers and medicines.

They are top of the earnings charts for British groups with US advertising 
royalties, with Led Zeppelin in second place with £4 million a year. Third 
are the Rolling Stones, who earn £2.3 million, and fourth are The Who with 
£2 million.
