>I have heard that those that got an invite already "won" the lottery, in a
sense.

>Anyone know if this is true?

Maybe so. All we know about it is what Pete has published on his blog, and
now what we read on the Method site. He said the names he posted on his
blog (assuming he can contact them) will be the group to beta test the
software to see how it works. The site (as I understand it) says that all
will receive an mp3 of their music, but that some who have interesting
results will be asked to contribute their theme to a larger work, and will
be invited to purchase tix to a concert where the work is played. Projected
price is a bit steep, but not too bad.

I thought you had commented, Natalie. He's taken down the comments so I
can't check, but I thought I saw your name. Was it on Rachel's blog
instead?

Pete has taken down his novella today and here's what he's posted. Check
out his Project pages; he's got storyboard art. :)

In The Black Hole - Come Visit.....
This serialization finished on February 25th. It is now available to read at
www.petetownshend.com. Selected comments from this evolving Blog are
included.

Today – March 4th, at 1600 UK time – I am opening the beta website for the
METHOD. This features music produced by a computer program similar to the
fantastical machine described in The Boy Who Heard Music Novella. For links
please hit my web site link above.

I've been stimulated by this Blog publication, that has run for six months.
I am impressed by the warmth and insight of many of the contributors. I have
been inspired by the quality of the people who have commented here
regularly, the way you have supported each other and managed to argue with
humour, vehemence and restraint. Our leaders could learn a lot from you.
That sounds patronizing, but of course you are my patrons. I am tremendously
grateful to every one of you for taking the time and trouble to be a part of
this. One day in 2007 - perhaps - we will all be gathered somewhere
listening to our wacky and sublime METHOD music, together. My Bloggers who
supported me here will be the first to be invited.

Thanks to the folks at blogspot.com who have provided this incredibly
reliable and effective creative and communicative web vehicle completely
free of charge, and free of interference.
