The Who Encore Series

We're happy to announce that The Who 2006 Encore Series will once
again be brought to you by the combined efforts of the band and the
encore series team at TheMusic.com. After successful Who Encore Series
CD's for both the 2002 and 2004 tours, there will also be available
DVD's of each show* in addition to the standard 2-CD gatefold,
collector's and deluxe-edition sets. The DVD's of each show will be
shot with a four camera crew and are expected to have both a surround
and stereo mix on each disc. As in the past, the audio for the CD's
and DVD's will be a "Live Mix" by The Who engineering team, mastered
by Jon Astley at Close to the Edge, and pressed onto high-quality
manufactured discs - not CD-R's or DVD-R's. As always, the profits
from The Who Encore Series will go to charities designated by the
band. For those unable to attend one of the concerts on this tour, the
Encore Series offers a chance for you to experience The Who from home,
and for those of you that do see a show, an opportunity to relive the
experience again and again…..

* DVD's of all European shows (with the exception of the June 17th
Leeds University Show) will be made available as NON-region encoded
(plays on most players) PAL format discs. In order to play these DVD's
you must have both a PAL-capable DVD player AND PAL-capable
Television. These discs will play WORLDWIDE on DVD-equipped computers
which have DVD playback software installed and operative.
