Congratulations!  But I've never heard anyone address a lawyer as  
"Doctor".  Maybe things are different in your state (or in the  
alternative, in my state plus TV-land).

You are correct, sir, in that lawyers are referred to usually as "esquire."  However, it is technically a doctorate and since I haven't yet passed (or taken) the bar exam, I'll take what I can get.  If I was back in the classroom teaching, I might have the students call me doctor instead of coach (which they called me before).
