All is not sweetness and light between members of the Who. Pete Townshend
and Roger Daltrey have fallen out over webcasting. Townshend writes on his
online diary that free webcasts will end because Daltrey disagrees with the
project. "Seriously, he seems to be unconvinced that the web has any real
contribution to make to our career, and I am not going to spend any more
time or money mortgaging my half of the stage." Elsewhere he gives a
fascinating insight into the creative fusion: "Roger is my partner in the
Who. He is not my partner in anything else. We love each other but are not
regular social buddies like Bono and Edge, we do not discuss or share ideas,
and we have no unified joint vision or strategy for the Who or for creative
projects in general." Honestly, they're like a married couple.
