I think you have that the wrong way around about the glasses. It seems fans (and others) are trying to get Roger to stop wearing the glasses because it makes him look younger, but he keeps wearing them anyway.

BTW, if Roger can't see without wearing the damned glasses, then he's pretty vain (or worse) not to wear them.
