I remain interested in new material, but am still hopeful this is a "Who2" project and not "the Who."

Yeah, I know, I'm naive and most likely, it will "The Who."

But I got my peace in.

Subject: Wire & Glass review in Times

Alright!
Now we're getting somewhere!
I've been waiting for this!
First proper review and it's pretty darn good, in my book.

>Perhaps following the Stones' lead, The Who of Wire &
>Glass sound more like The Who than at any point since
>the mid-Seventies, despite the absence of two
>seemingly vital elements - the drummer Keith Moon and
>bassist John Entwistle.

Promising....

>It's their 1973 rock opera
>Quadrophenia that it recalls most strongly,

Now *that* won't hurt ya!

 >but the tightness and attack in the playing suggests the
>booze-soaked frenzy of superstar self-pity The Who by
>Numbers, from 1975.

"tightness"....."attack"......
I like those adjectives!

> At 61, he
>seems to have been revitalised as a creative force by
>his relationship with the singer-songwriter Rachel
>Fuller

Oh yes! It's all Rachel's doing!
Barf.

>hailed by Who fans as a sort of anti-Yoko.

I'm sorry, what?

>hailed by Who fans as a sort of anti-Yoko.

Hailed??????

>hailed

Who fans? What Who fans?

>hailed by Who fans

All of us at the same time?
No one asked *me*!

What was that about Yoko?

>hailed by Who fans as a sort of anti-Yoko.

"Sort of????"
"Anti-Yoko????"
Put down the crack pipe and step away from the table.
A great review shot all to hell.
What the hell does an "anti-Yoko" mean, anyway????
What does that mean????
Sort of?
I see only similarities.
I don't see differences, except in Roger's reaction vs. the rest of the
Beatles.

"Anti-Yoko"?

So who get's the credit for the first potential "hit" ??
The Who?
Pete?
Or....Rachel?

Like it's not hard enough to deal with the change in the band that death has
caused, but now we (perhaps just I) need to adjust to additional changes
that love brings.

Damn, this is getting so convoluted.
I just want my Who without the side of Rachel.
As the late, great, Rodney Dangerfield said in Caddyshack...."No offense!"
