In 1979, my childhood friend, Cole Kesler was the harp player for
Delaney Bramlett who lived near my parents in Sunland-Tujunga
CA, at his Rock 'n' Roll Ranch...where he still lives.

One day, sitting 'round a rec-room off Delaney's recording studio,
Cole said to Delaney, "Tell Lew about George Harrison and 'MY Sweet
Lord.'"

So Delaney tells me his story about the litigation against Geo. H over
the resemblance of the chord progression and melody between "He's
So Fine" and "My Sweet Lord."

Delaney tells of Geo coming to see him and ask that he (Delaney)
testify in court on Geo's behalf and tell the truth that the song
was truly a thinly veiled copy of one of Delaney's songs, _not_
"He's So Fine!" Geo. was apparently oblivious to the similarity
between MSL and HSF.

Geo. H then played the tune that it was derived from, Delaney was not
amused, and declined to participate in the trial.

That's my story, that's what I was told by Delaney, and I'm stickin' to it.

AEB~
