Who will it be? Townshend confirmed for SXSW
I wouldn't be surprised if they do a In The Attic there, with all the
musicians in town.

The Who’s Pete Townshend will be the keynote speaker at South by Southwest
on March 14, it was confirmed Tuesday.
The legendary guitarist will come to Austin on days off between the Who
shows in Tampa, Fla., March 13 and Mexico City March 17.
New York scribe Bill Flanagan said he’s excited to be part of
Townshend’s keynote question and answer session. “Pete Townshend has
the deserved reputation as the most fascinating, articulate speaker in
the music business,” said Flanagan, who heard that Townshend’s and
girlfriend Rachel Fuller’s Attic Jam, described as a musical
“Politically Incorrect” format, is coming to SXSW.
Fest director Roland Swenson said SXSW is working with Townshend and
Fuller to bring their musical/comical revue to the fest. Nipping rumors
in the bud, he added that “the Who are definitely not playing.”
Where SXSW had to scramble for keynote speakers in earlier years,
settling for the likes of Kinky Friedman and Bob Guccione Jr., a series
of rock legends, including Neil Young, Robert Plant and Little Richard,
has kicked off the convention in recent years.
