Yeah, when that Mikey starts playing I just can't stop yacking!
Seriously, though. Put that way, I guess I'd buy a ticket to this if I
could. But, I'd be bored shitless through her and Mikey's sets. Simon's,
too, frankly. I'm not sure that's fair to the artists, when there are
plenty of people who would be thrilled to see them *all* perform.
I took another look at the offending statement. "...it is important to me
that at such an intimate venue, we don't have all the tickets bought by
scalpers or hardline Who fans who will not enjoy themselves."
Notice she says *all* the tickets. If this show was sold in the normal way,
the number of people who are *only* interested in seeing Pete would
completely overwhelm the rest and that's what the entire crowd would be
composed of.
I think Pete must also want this show to be for In The Attic fans. He
really takes it seriously. It wouldn't surprise me if he wants a certain
kind of crowd...one that is involved by In The Attic and is into the whole
thing, blogging and all...just as much as Rachel does.
Frankly I have much less of a problem with this kind of an event than the
Samsung and Hedgestock corporate sell outs they've done in the last couple
of years. I'm essentially excluded from both, but at least this one's being
aimed at a section of the fans.
Now, if you want to talk about seeing something *worth* seeing in an
intimate setting, we should all be asking what's going on on November 28th!
