Pete did the same thing with The Method. Anyone who actually was a blogger on "The Boy Who Heard Music" site got chosen to be part of the Method. Also, the Who presale required you to shell out about $60 extra. This only requires that you are actively involved in a dialogue with the artist.

I hear ya (and I thought about this before I posted before...). But, I
think there's a difference. Who fanclub presale is open to anyone who
simply goes to the site and signs up. Rachel is reserving those tix for
her bloggers....people who participate on her blog....a specific group
of people she *knows* and feels safe with. You can't tell me she will
not review the list and selectively delete one of the few trolls that
has posted to her if they sign up for the tix.

No such review and requirements with the whofanclub pre-sale.

This is a selection process.
Only God-fearin' Republicans can attend the rally.
