> We got papers at our door
> We talked a load of crap
> They just wanted more.
Remember a few years back, when a fan posted his dream tracklisting on The Who's hotel room door? Pete got REALLY p-ed off about it, and posted a rant in his website diary.
I remember thinking at the time (and may have posted my thoughts on this list): if it really upsets you so much, Pete, then write a song about it. Use that anger, and make something creative out of it. That's what Pete would have done in the old days. That's what The Who were all about.
So looking at these lyrics now, is this incident the basis for these lines?
"We got papers at out door" = tracklisting stapled to the hotel room door.
"We talked a load of crap" = I ranted a bit about on my website. Sorry.
"They just wanted more." = the fans just wanted us to play more songs.
Anyone else agree? Or I'm I just reading too much into these lyrics, and seeing something that isn't really there?
Also keets - thanks for posting that expected tracklisting for the new album. Just reading it got me really psyched. I'm ready for it NOW!
