Let's start off with a little history. The 2006 *convention* took place at Bush Hall which is certainly off the
beaten path and in an area of London that has changed enormously since the 1960's. I used to work on
Shepherd's Bush market in the 1970's ( The Bush) and it was predominantly blue collar. It is now very
multi-racial... Bush Hall is an oasis in a desert. It is wonderfully ornate and has such charm. The
enclosed link will tell you a little about the venue (which could not have been more perfect). The
restoration of the walls and plaster are marvelous...

It's hard to believe that the first convention took place 11 years ago just a few blocks away. Those were
the old days pre-internet ...2005 and 2008 were real"conventions" as opposed to the events of 2003 and
2006 that I consider as gatherings. This recent gathering had wonderful Karma. Of course, there were
some personalities including Irish Jack, Tom Wright. Kitty Moon but it was the fans that made the day !
It was a chance to mingle with friends and relatives on the rare occasion that we get to-gether like a family
at Thanksgiving.

There were "delegates" from all over ! The Dutch mob were out in full force including "Relayers" and even
WF from Odds and Sods. I had a great conversation with WF ( Rich) who is now Mr. Calm....He is so
knowledgeable and the attitude seems long gone...

I met this wonderful man who had gone to school with both PT and JAE. He had saved the school yearbooks
and had a poem and essay from both parties circa 1957. He let me look at his treasures and then I had to put
them back into a polybag and slide them into an album cover since his hands were so shaky....I saw him
leave shortly afterwards. I do not know his name but I am supposing that I will never see him again.

I left early and did not stay to watch the music ( other than Roger). I'm saving what's left of my hearing and it
seems surreal watching a tribute band... Seriously though, Can you imagine going to a Picasso convention
and then looking at "tribute" cloned artwork ? Is the imitation of art an art in itself ?

The weather was so perfect... Rain, Grey Skies, wind and then perfect blue sky and sun. I love getting four
seasons in one day especially when there is Karma and peace.....
