Simpsons?

Yeah, it was a new episode but it's not like the Pete & Rog
characters were a main part of the plot like the episode from
a few years ago.

Sometimes on the Simpsons, characters from the past will pop 
up in the background in an incidental manner.  The writers are
crafty that way.  No one knew this was coming.
