The Who can no longer claim to speak for their generation after being
snubbed in the 1960's category for Britain's first Music Hall of Fame. The
group failed to make the Top Ten in rock music's pivotal decade after a vote
taken by the committee led by Sir George Martin in the Channel 4 series.
>So this was a call-in vote that elected the winners? If so, then the
problem was that Whofans didn't call in to vote?
I hear the snub was from the nominating committee and not from the fans.
There's a bit of a fuss on the Channel4 forum about it. At least the snub
made the Times. ;)
