Classic 1970 Concert Makes Television Debut
On INHD, Saturday August 14th

INHD, cable's most widely distributed all HD network, has announced today
the broadcast television debut of The Who's legendary concert performance
Live At The Isle of Wight which has been completely re-mastered, remixed and
restored to high-definition 1080i film featuring 5.1 Dolby Digital audio.
This historic concert will premier on INHD on Saturday, August 14th at 8pm

As part of the agreement, INHD will have exclusive high-definition rights
for 2 years. The original negatives and reversal rolls of the classic
concert were used to convert the film to 1080i HD, under the expert
supervision of Townshend and Murray Lerner, the film's director. The
memorable concert was performed on August 30, 1970 before 600,000 people who
gathered off the coast of England at The Isle of Wight. The audio has been
fully digitized and remixed using a total of 16 tracks recorded at the

The INHD event, The Who - Live At The Isle of Wight, will feature a
performance of their top-selling rock opera, "Tommy," and some of the band's
most popular songs including "Eyesight To The Blind Boy," "The Acid Queen,"
We're Not Gonna Take It," "Fiddle About," "Water," "Magic Bus," "Heaven And
Hell," "I Can't Explain," "Pinball Wizard," "I'm Free," and many more.
