Considering much of the animosity towards Danny from former C's stemmed from perceived disloyalty (and trade discussions were a big part of that) and Danny's own admission ("Nobody is untradable"), it's reasonable to assume Danny initiated many of them.

Ray's right that Rondo has been offered around the league. The other side
of the discussions has leaked the negotiations multiple times. Ainge will
always say "We love Rajon" but that's plausible deniability.
