Well to be honest, “we” can’t plan how to avoid any pitfalls for these guys. Based on the history of Garnett both here and in Minnie if he comes out like he did and states how he and Wallace are playing together “"In the pickups we've played here, you already see it -- him and I on the same page -- we don't even have to talk a lot," said Garnett, who spoke publicly for the first time since March 25. "I can't even describe it, it's weird. And to be honest, it's just weird to see him here in the green, and see how our chemistry is without even touching the ball, just how we flow."” That states a lot.

We all saw Wallace play for a Championship with Detroit and put the team first and we have seen Garnett do the same. Add Pierce and Ray Allen into the mix, a PG that wants to show he has grown, not to forget Ainge, Doc and the assorted Celtic HOF players wandering around the locker room before games, I just don’t see how anyone would see the chemistry any different then what David suggested.

This team has 4 strong potential HOF, if not more, guys that can still play. Egos will be checked at the door, IMO, with an occasional flare up that will be trumpeted by the old media guys to attack Ainge and the owners, but that is about it aside from TA and 1 other perhaps having a meltdown do to frustration at lack of playing time.

This is going to be a great season to be a Celtics fan.

>>Both players in their desires to be champions will suck it up to make it work. - DavidP

>And you KNOW this how?

In your opinion they will "suck it up to make it work". Many said the same of Marbury last year. He never really "made it work" - and we can debate the reasons ad infinitum - system, attitude, health, conditioning, whatever. He was not the impact player they had hoped they signed.

The same goes for both KG and Sheed. We HOPE they are either collectively or separately cogs to a championship, but we simply saying "they'll do all the right things" doesn't make it so any more then saying "they won't do all the right things" does either.

The system is much more complex than that. Not accounting for internal dynamics as critical as the health of KGs knee, the age and attitude of Sheed, and thousands of other aspects places such opinion in the realm of hope. Not that there is anything wrong with hope - I'll take it every day and twice on Sunday. The other side of the coin is the same - Rondo is still a great talent regardless of anything Ainge said about him in the offseason. That talent is undeniable - and the Celtics have it at their disposal. Perk is consistently underrated by all level of examination, but he has historical shoulder issues. Both aspects need to be considered.

Some days blissful ignorance is a good thing, but not every day. Some days it's best to examine even the potential pitfalls so we can best plan out how to avoid them.
