5 Moves The Celtics Must Make Between Now And Next Season

1. Fire Doc Rivers. When even Dan Shaughnessy starts
to question Doc Rivers, you know the end is near and
it's time for a coaching change.

2. Acquire a young SF or SG. Joe Alexander, JR
Giddens, Omri Casspi, Richard Roby, Reggie Williams
via the Draft.

Antoine Wright, Josh Childress, Ricky Davis (if he
gives up the Weed), Kelena Azubuike, Corey Maggette,
Keith Bogans, Ron Artest via Free Agency.

3. Trade Ray Allen or move him to the bench. If the
Celtics don't win the Title, perhaps a Ray Allen trade

could be a possibility. Already, people have
speculated on Ray Allen to Chicago for the 9th Pick
and Allen to Dallas for Josh Howard. Whereas, moving
Allen to the Bench fills the big need of a scorer off
the bench.

4. Upgrade the Center position. It's time for a better
center. With Perkins, Powe, and Davis, the Celtics can
package Perkins and one of the others for a better big
man.

5. Find a low post scorer or another scoring big man.
Ryan Anderson from California could fill the latter of
those needs. Higher in the Draft, Marreese Speights
covers the former.
