I try to watch these games with some level of anticipation, nail-biting
and I am ready to let out my despair or euphoria, depending on how the
C's do. But really. I tried to watch this series without any emotion
just to see if these games were real. In the last home game in less
than 1 quarter I counted 3 times that the C's had a foot on the line and
the ball and the refs didn't see it. Maybe I had a better angle. PP
won a charging foul while his feet were still dancing the cha-cha-cha.
And the list goes on. In Cleveland I wouldn't expect any different in
their favor. How can these teams, just like the Atlanta series take
turns in beating each other by 20 pts. and there still be any validity
to these games. Some common sense, please. My wife still believes the
World Wrestling Federation is real. I don't blame her. At least their
matches look like they could go either way.

This is not a knock on the NBA any more than all other (business)
professional sports. They all have their quirks that we have to live
with. It's simply reality. I'm reading the previous posts as coming
from people that are also struggling to analyse these games in spite of
the obvious homerism. It's an exercise in futility which I also fall
into.

So, when do these games end? Sometime in July? August? Can't wait for
the season to start again. Then it becomes much more exciting trying to
decipher which games are going to be more artistically officiated.
Meanwhile, for tomorrow's game I think I'll entertain myself by guessing
how many points the C's will lose by.

Sorry, I dozed off during the game and the above was only a dream. Now
back to the game. It also worries me that Rondo is being shot down by
various things including Doc's love for Sam Cassell. Like someone said,
play him 46 minutes; the Cavs missed not having their center due to
dizziness the previous game. He brings a lot more intensity and gives
us headaches; PP has got to be let loose. By that I mean, get Ray Allen
out of there. It's not by chance that our 1st team doesn't mesh lately.
No better time to do it than now. Cleveland is a brute force,
instigated and personified by Lebron and Wallace. Finess can only go so
far against these guys, and that's nowhere. Big Baby, yeah, bring him
in to stand up to Wallace. Ray Allen, give him 3 shots and sit him down
if he's not producing. What a novel idea. And so on. The 1st game
could have gone either way, the 2nd was a non-game due to absence of
Wallace. Yesterday may have been a more realistic view at where these
teams stand and how they compare. Doc and the staff have to do a better
job in analyzing these match ups and seeing how we can improve our game
in these drag-out, knock-down brawls that we are in for. This is going
to turn into an old-fashion ugliest of series, the kind the NBA worked
so hard to abolish with all the rules that put it to help the offense.
Oh, that's right the refs don't follow the rule book. Walking? What's
that?
