OK, I don't get it. I complained a lot about Doc the past few years. But
he's doing a great job this year. I just don't understand how anyone can
watch a team win this many games and give *no* credit to the coach.

The Celtics play hard *every* game. (They've only lost by double digits (12)
once!) Everyone on the team says the right thing all the time. Despite a
huge turnover in personnel, the team gelled immediately, and has stayed
cohesive all season. Analysts (and not just Celtics ones) praise Doc's
inbound plays. Doc's postgame press conferences are models of smart
analysis coupled with great people skills. Doc hammers away on how "We
haven't won anything," and the team buys in, despite their incredible
record.

Look, maybe Doc wasn't a good coach for a bunch of young players. But he
seems like a fabulous coach for this team.

I could go on, but I'll just end with the fact that the Celtics are on a pace
to lose 18 games *total*.
