Advantage Celtics

Believing that Detroit is better than San Antonio, I think the advantage is to the Celtics right now.  Detroit's key player, imo, is McDyess and he didn't produce against us.  Their front line is weak.  So, if we maximize our bigs with Pollard and Davis playing in support, we have a narrow advantage vs. both the Pistons & Spurs.
IMO.

Nice to see Tony on the upswing; I think his defensive pressure and ability to keep us driving to the hoop make his presence important in the late stages.  He has the noted dribbling adventures, but he also has one of the better crossovers.  Interesting combo.

Rondo:  he's a bit young to expect much more in the consistency area.  I think he compares favorably to most of the excellent point guards in their second years--stats may contradict that.  

I sure have liked the team with Posey and T. Allen and Garnett at the same time.  What a defensive force they are.  Cheers, Gene
