Commentators

Hi guys (and gals),

I just finished watching 2 of the games from the recent West Coast swing and, I don't know which games you were watching, but the commentary from the 2 games I saw were worlds apart.

The Denver commentators were blatantly biased, and I know Tommy is as biased as they get but one guy from Denver was down-right rude. He called Pierce "slow-footed" and at one stage referred to him as an "antelope wading through the tall-wet grass" or something like that. Funny simile but if it is gonna be negative he should keep it to himself to be professional.

The other Denver commentator may have picked up on the negativity and toward the end of the game pointed out that Pierce is in good company in the all-time leading point scorers list for Boston after recently moving past Sam Jones into 6th place while trailing only Havlicek, Bird, Parish, McHale and Cousy (see: http://www.nba.com/celtics/history/Stats_Top10Leaders.html). The negative commentator simply replied only with "he HAS been in the league for 10 years"... nice. So good to see Pierce ram a tomahawk down their throat toward the end of the game.

In stark contrast were the Warrior commentators who praised the Celtics all the way and referred to fellow-Californian Leon Powe as a "magnificent" and "beautiful" young man. Positive comments made the game a joy to watch

I have 2 more games to watch (Phoenix and then Portland) then will catch up on all the news and emails (apologies if this is a repeat of a recent discussion). However I have seen that we signed P.J. Brown (and that Phoenix beat us in a low scoring game).
