So basically you are saying they have clinched a playoff spot  already?  If 
so, is this a new record for the earliest that a team has  clinched?

Here's a bizarre thought...

The C's could loose  every one of their remaining regular season games and 
still make the  playoffs!  In fact 40-42, an 0.488 winning percentage, would put 
them 5th  in the East based on todays standings.

A truly amazing season so  far...
