Big Baby minutes

I have a couple of thoughts on why Doc sits down BB at times. It may be
because of his qualities. I think you'll see him more vs. bruising
teams, slow tempos. A team like Dallas presses the pace constantly and
Powe would be more suited for a fast paced game. Besides, Powe is hot
now. Big Baby seems to get lost when he plays lots of minutes in
helter-skelter games. Despite Big Baby's great abilities we must accept
that at times, speed and mobility are all that matters. It doesn't make
him any less of a player, but also gives others a chance to shine where
they are more likely to succeed.

Something curious, and I know it's hard to think about subtleties in the
midst of big trades. We've figured out BB's reason for success inside
despite his size disadvantage (sorry Gene). He does it with brawn, a
wide body, which seems to nullify the high fliers. Has anyone thought
about how Powe does it? He's shorter than BB about 2 inches, maybe 1.5"
(saw them side by side vs. NY). So let's say he's about 6' 5.5", and he
must be 1 foot less wide in the upper body than BB.

I ran back a few of his plays and I have an idea. I previously said
Powe had no upside and should be dropped. Well, he's learned a lot it
seems from the big men coach and is in superb form to go along with his
legendary desire. It seems instead of his upside I should have been
concentrating on his backside. Yes, his butt, his coccyx. I believe
therein lies his biggest asset. He carves out space by using his butt
as a battering ram. As he goes up he slams it violently against the
stretched out defenders and they instinctively recoil, protecting their
genitals. Please don't laugh until you check this out or unless you
have a better idea. I mean, how else does a 6' 5.5" guy accomplish what
he does?

Please take this last paragraph as an honest opinion based on what I've
seen and not as ridicule or a bad joke, though I did try to spice it up
a little just for fun.
