Good news for the Knicks and less humiliation for the NBA

 From ESPN.com:
Now that the Knicks' miserable season is over, so is Isiah Thomas'
tenure as their coach. New president Donnie Walsh fired him Friday
but said Thomas would remain with the team, but have no official title.

Was the title of "Incompetent Moron" taken in NYC??

I actually feel good that the Knicks have mostly shed this human
albatross, though they should have bounced his butt to the street
after he spent the last few years leaving a trail of destruction that
remains painfully visible to this day, as some people in Canada,
Indiana, and formerly with the CBA can tell you in graphic detail.

For all that the Celtics have had their own questionable
management/coaching over the years, from the still-despised John Y.
Brown to M.L. Carr, to Rick Pitino, it's NEVER been as bad as when
Thomas hits the scene, bringing full-fledged disaster as surely as
Richard Donner likes to blow stuff up in his films.

I want to see the juggernaut that was such a fierce rival to the
Celtics that Red Auerbach despised the Knicks. Let's hope they come
back, soon...though not TOO soon. :)

To quote Art Garfunkel, "...so here's to you, New York."
