Good point by Eric on the Wiz about a long series. I also worry about
the Hawks. They are much more under the radar but they could spring
some surprises. Next game I'll be looking to see if they improved from
last time. Then I felt they were very athletic, young and fast with an
above the rim defense which did them well for a while. Later in the
game, however, they couldn't cope with the pressure. They looked
disorganized. They were messing up plays, especially taking ill-advised
shots, couldn't keep the team intensity on offense and relapsed into
individual plays. They lacked a brain and folded easily. I'm curious as
to how much they have improved along those lines. I believe Bibby was
going to help remedy that but I've heard he was hurt. Still it seems
they have weathered the storm and captured the 8th spot, so there is
probably some improvement and momentum there.
They could be a threat if they've learned to be patient and work more as
a team, and especially if they've gained some mental toughness, all big
steps for a young team.

Maybe, maybe not. We don't need to worry about it till
the second round anyway, a place the Wizards haven't
been able to get to for a while. And a seven-game series
is different from a game here and a game there.

The Celtics won the game before the Wizards (against the
Bucks) with none of our starters playing more than 22
minutes.
How much rest do you think the Celtics starters need?
Doc has done a great job of keeping their minutes low all
year -- KG hasn't played so few minutes since he was a
rookie.
The starters played last night because they asked to.
Other than the risk of injury, I see no reason to sit
them for the rest of the season. Especially when I'm
flying to Atlanta tomorrow to see Saturday's game
against the Hawks!
