Sorry for the delay, everyone. That'll teach me
to go to the ER during Flu season. Gory (and
somewhat smelly, I'm told) details omitted.

Since it's been a while, I'll cover everyone in game order, and here we go....

We started the list this season with 77
predictions, with everyone feeling pretty
optimistic about the C's 2007-08 season back in October.

Then all Hell broke loose as the Good Guys
stomped on the rest of the NBA like clog dancers taking out an ant farm.

We got through all of October, November, and
December without losing anyone from the list!

75-7
Even the most optimistic of predictions didn't
fall until January 27 of this year, as Way of the
Ray saw his 75-7 prediction fall with the C's
eigth loss, to the Orlanmdo Magic.

73-9
This one hurt, as it was the prediction of my own
chocolate-chomping bride, Mrs. Celtics Beagle
that was eclipsed as the Celtics endured their
10th loss of the season, to the Denver Nuggets on February 19.

72-10
Ok, this one hurt, too...Snoopy the Celtics
Beagle gets shot down again, when Boston lost on
February 20 to the Golden State Warriors. Can
someone please explain why I never win this thing?

46-36
The first person to fall from losses this year
was pmaurice, watching the Celtics win their 47th
game of the season on March 5 against the Detroit Pistons.

47-35
For the first time this season, more than one
person is eliminated at a time when Eggcentric
and Kestas cheer the C's on to win number 48 on March 7 over the Chicago Bulls.

48-34
The Celtics keep rolling along as they beat the
Memphis Grizzlies for #49 the following day,
March 8, eliminating Eric Albert, Steve Chomicz,
Steve Knight, Marc Pierce, and Rollo Apollo.

49-33
March 10 saw the Celtics beat the Philadelphia
76ers, and we waved farewell to the predictions
of BDodgers, Jonathan Brainin, Michael J. King,
Sr., Rootbeer Richie, Patrick Ryan, and Jeff White.

50-32
The Celtics downed the Seattle Supersonics on
March 12, and grounded the predictions of Mark
Berry, davidp4660, Peter Delevett, Damian, Roy
Enrile, Goody, IamDave, Little Rich, Ryan M.
Nelson, Aimée Noonan, and Eduardo Passos of Brazil.

51-31
By this time, over half the list wishes they'd
been half as optimistic as I am, as Boston takes
down the Milwaukee Bucks on March 15, trampling
the predictions of Paul Bauer, Michael Gooen, and John Lyell.

52-30
The March 17 comeback win over the
soon-to-be-former-NBA-Champions San Antonio Spurs
also spurred off the predictions of asterix
ninetynine, CeltsSteve, Douglas342, Jim Hill, R.
Howe, JoeFan11111, Musty Joe, Nathan A., Eric
Pincus, (the other) Mark, and George J. Sliney.

53-29
The Celtics continued their Texas Three-Step by
trouncing the Houston Rockets on the following
day, March 18. Houston had a problem with the
predictions of Alden Brosseau, Green 00, JS33,
Ken Kokubo, Adam Patterson, rltjr33, Gary Sweatt,
Larry Taylor, and Cecil Wright.

54-28
Boston made it three for three by beating the
Dallas Mavericks on March 20, as Labvision, gene
kirkpatrick, Shawn Niles, Josh Ozersky, and Pocket MD all dropped off the list.

55-27
After a brief burp of losses, Boston doused the
Phoenix Suns on March 26. This also put out the
predictions of Roger S. Belanger, Rich Davies, Troy Hash, and Richard Quan.

56-26
Even some of the most optimistic of the
predictions were falling as the C's got revenge
on the New Orleans Hornets on March 28. This was
a fatal sting for the predictions of Noah Evans and Jaims.

57-25
the Miami Heat, with a lineup of bench guys and
D-Leaguers. This game was such a "gimme" for
Boston that some people pleaded for a mercy
rule. But the March 30 game ended at last,
officially dropping Bill Cameron, Darrell Hatfield, and Joshr from the list.

58-24
No joking around, here...the April 1 game against
the Chicago Bulls was taken very seriously by the
Celtics, though Paolo Dellasandro and Bob Strauss
can be proud how long their predictions held up!

59-23
The Indiana Pacers couldn't stop Boston from
winning game #60 on April 2. But Anne "Snoopy"
Cankosyan and Steve Ouellette showed their Celtic
Pride, rooting the Good Guys in!

60-22
The Celtics went on another road trip, starting
with the Charlotte Bobcats on April 5. The C's
gave them a nap attack, and one of the last two
groups remaining fell from contention -
FlCeltsFan, Abdullah Karadað , Jim Shane, and Jonathan Shane.

Who's left?
Yes folks, only three people still have a shot at
winning this year's predictions list: FleetAinge,
JB, and Tom Vanderbilt, all of whom predicted
62-20. The problem is, for them to actually win,
The Celtics would need to lose 5 of their
remaining 6 games. Will the C's steamroll into
the Playoffs, or will they falter, having already
assured themselves of the best record, Conference
title, and Home Court throughout the Playoffs?

Like I said, at the beginning of the season,
Banner #17. This June, coming to the Garden near you!
