Patric,
One thing you still somehow missing from the greater picture: if I have an
HS team playing in the NBA - result is obvious. You simply do not want to
connect the dots: bringing the kids up to speed and playing for a WIN is not
the same.
I'm not saying that Doc is a key factor to get the #17, all I'm saying is
that his tracking record is still VERY apply to the current situation.
Moreover, I was pretty much sure he would fail as a kids coach - he
surprised me here. He's only shown his ability to max out his opportunity
(his past with Orl) - and that's exactly what we need now. Kindergarten is
over, if you noticed.. ;-)
