How about hiring a Belichick type coach?  Can't say that there is another
coach of Red's ability's out there, but Doc is not a guy anyone would accuse
of turning off the air-conditioning/hot water on the opposing team ... .

Such a motivational technique is tailor made for this team as presently
constituted. The words "Garnett is a great player, but he's never been
able to make his teammates better...or take them to the next level"
should be posted on the locker room wall as a constant irritant to all
three of our triumvirate. (I'd add in "Ray Allen can't defend" and
"Pierce is selfish" - maybe in small print on the same poster).



It's not going to work every time, but I think applied correctly (say
come playoff time) the lesson of last night's Patriots game would be
well served to be repeated for our men in green as well.
