We all keep agreeing like this and I don't know if we'll have the
necessary controversy to attract readers. <g>
I'm on-board with the "Ray Allen - the hidden leader" theory too. The
other two legs of the tripod are demonstrative types whereas Allen has
never shown that type of behavior. Leaders that have to "say" look at me
are often overshadowed by those that simply do it without the added
fanfare.
My only concern remains his defense...or lack thereof. It's another
small harbinger of "Tony Allen - point guard" to provide balance in the
lineup.

I agree with your assessment.
I am also wondering if Ray Allen doesn't end up as the piece that holds
this whole thing together. We all know that Paul Pierce is not a strong
leader, he's always been a very good complimentary player a la Scottie
Pippen. Garnett will provide energy and intensity but he may not be
tempered properly to fill the role.
I think Ray Allen will offer quiet and steady leadership, the catclyst
to bring the team together and pull the best out of Pierce and Garnett.
