I meant to write it in my earlier post but seeing Big Jake's name reminded
me:
Pops Mensah Bonsu & Jack Tsakalidis have both signed in Europe. We can
now safely use the phrase, "Pops Mensah Bonsu & Jack Tsakalidis aren't
walking through that door."
But i wish either Brian Skinner or Marc Jackson would --- i agree we need
another big.

You know, I don't think it would hurt the team to add another veteran big
to sit at the end of the bench. Someone we could use for fouls/garbage
time. For the veteran minimum, I would take a look at Dale Davis or Jake
Tsakiladas

but I watched all the SL games and came away impressed w/Wallace and
before Posey came on thought he would be the rookie to see the most
action. He looks to be a very good help defender, w/hops in the pre-injury
T.A. realm but taller. He didnt take many jumpers but the ones he did of
the mid range variety he looked good taking. He played Center in college
and I know he is not a real center or wide body but certainly should be
able to defend both the forward postions and rebound; IMO would look good
when paired with either Perkins or KG or both for short periods. Can Bonsu
play spot to backup center minutes? If not the final roster spot should go
to a player that can.
Bonsu is the type of player that will shake loose from teams as camp cuts
start to occur. C's should be able to find a decent young up-side or
grizzled vet to be a end-of-bench sub for a position of need. Patience is
all that is required.
Go C's

Bonsu was just
waived by the Mavs, and imo, this guy is definitely much better than Wallace
and Manuel. He's been nbdl mvp and shows a lot of promise in mavs tho he
couldn't get the pt he wants as dirk, dampier and diop won't get displaced
anytime soon. Plays above the rim, blocks every shot in his area, huslter/
up and down the court type of player... though i don't know if he's got some
'intangibles' in him like Wallace. (hey ryan..wink wink) hehehe
anyways, i think if we need a young hustler type, this IS the guy we need to
give a chance to... just the same, i hope Brandon Wallace proves me wrong
and that he's a better player than pops m bonsu.
