Pops Mensah Bonsu

I've only seen a tiny bit of his play but Bonsu looked good in the SL.

He's -- along with guys like Charlie Bell, Brian Skinner, et al -- are the
poster boys for why the NBA needs a true AAA-like minor leaugue system.

There's no reason guys like Brandon Wallace or Jackie Manuel should be
taking up a roster spot from guys who've proven they can play in the NBA.

At the same time teams like the C's, Mavs, Rockets and Trailblazers who've
done a good job at finding young talent should be able to develop that
talent.

it's coming -- Utah and LAL own their own teams. I find it hard to believe
that 5,000  fans in Hartford or Providence or Worcester or Portland
wouldn't follow the C's AAA team there -- esp. if the NBA wised up and
made tix $20/gm for all seats.  Let each NBA team hire someone to teach
the fundamentals and the team's individual defensive and offensive
philosophies, etc.

sorry for the rant, it's something i've been thinking a lot about lately.
That and how contraction would make each team stronger.

I like what i saw in Brandon Wallace in the SL, this guy Bonsu was just
waived by the Mavs, and imo, this guy is definitely much better than Wallace
and Manuel. He's been nbdl mvp and shows a lot of promise in mavs tho he
couldn't get the pt he wants as dirk, dampier and diop won't get displaced
anytime soon. Plays above the rim, blocks every shot in his area, huslter/
up and down the court type of player... though i don't know if he's got some
'intangibles' in him like Wallace. (hey ryan..wink wink) hehehe

anyways, i think if we need a young hustler type, this IS the guy we need to
give a chance to... just the same, i hope Brandon Wallace proves me wrong
and that he's a better player than pops m bonsu.
