The last shot thing is going to be really interesting with this team.
Not just who takes it, but how they get it. I'm so sick of watching four
guys stand on the baseline while Pierce jacks a fallaway or Doc's other
variation -- Pierce sets a half-hearted pick for the PG, takes what
amounts to a handoff with no spacing, then waits for the defense to
adjust before jacking a fallaway. There's no excuse for that kind of
stuff anymore.

I don't necessarily see it as a rarity - players make such comments all
the time, but they're usually so wrapped up in the hype machine of trash
talk, guarantees, and predictions ending up posted as "bulletin board
material" that candid comments are not taken simply as opinion.
And I think Gilbert should fear Ray Allen and Eddie House more than
anyone in the fourth quarter last second shot category (and his focus is
so much on that part of the game because the Cs got literally screwed
twice last year on two last second fouls for Agent Zero - one phantom
and one where he threw himself into the defender).
I know that's giving Doc too much credit to use Pierce and Garnett as
decoys, but I'd want my two best pure shooters taking those shots
especially given how defenses are going to collapse on Paul and Kevin
making such shots even more wide open then we've seen around here in a
LONG time.

I agree. I thought that was completely refreshing. Gilbert Arenas is a
nut, but he's his own kind of nut. I like him.

Great interview...it's so rare for a player to speak so candidly to the
media.
