I agree totally here RMN -- the destruction by Kenyon Martin was really
sad to watch. and your last line is spot on.

at this point the C's/C's fans relationship with Antoine seems like that
breakup that you can never really complete: you breakup, try seeing
someone else, get back together b/c that rebound relationship didn't work.
then you break up again quickly b/c you realized/remembered there was a
reason you split in the first place. A year later, drunk at a party you
get back together because, well, you liked him/her a long time ago and
they're there and available...

At that point you go one of 3 ways:

1. try, try again -- you know it's not the thing to do, but your lonely,
or drunk, or a glutton for punishment.

2. try and it works -- you've both grown, you've learned, etc. NOTE: this
happens in roughly 1% of the above type on-again/off-again scenarios.

3. clean break -- one or both of you are tired of the back and forth, it's
over. move on.

Since i think the chances of #2 happening are a little lower than 1% w/
Walker & the C's, I vote CLEAN BREAK.... move on, start seeing other
people! we've got great new players in KG, Allen, Pollard (hee hee), etc.
we don't need Walker!

I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, so if you are,
then disregard the following.

6 foot 8, out of shape Antoine walker is not nor will ever be a center.
He got demolished on the box by kenyon martin 4 years ago. I really don't
know what his remaining skills are, but playing down low is certainly not
one of them.

And I always sort of liked antoine walker the person/competitor in a weird
sort of way, but hated his basketball game. I can't even believe bringing
antoine back would be a possibility.
