Very good point. I learned my lesson last year. I was convinced Tony
Allen couldn't earn a roster spot in the D-League at one point. But when
he got his legs under him, he played very, very well. The question now
is whether or not he can recover to that same level after the latest
serious knee injury. If he can recover physically, then I've seen enough
to know he can be an important player.

before you write off tony, remember how awful he
looked year before last and how damn good he was last
year before he went down. he needs to get in his
groove, which could very well take most of the year. i
think we'll see a different player by midseason if he
gets court time.
