>>The areas of concern are point guard -- both Rondo and the lack of a

backup -- and the other frontcourt spot alongside KG. I worry more about

the PG. If ever a team needed a floor general who could get the ball to

the right people at the right time, this team needs it. Rondo may very

well be a quality starting PG in time, but time is one thing the Celtics

don't have. They have this year and next year to get it done. After

that, it's a slow slide to mediocrity.<< - Mark Berry

This exactly states the case. I completely agree with them having this year and next to make hay, followed by the slide to mediocrity (whether that be slow or fast). For that reason, if there are any bullets left in Ainge's gun, he needs to empty the chamber to bring in a vet PG and a legit vet big. There's simply not time to waste.

BTW, sorry for the funky looking posts. I am composing these things in Outlook,

and I don't know how to make them not turn into incredibly long sentences without putting

in a hard carriage return (I notice a lot of posts show up on the list looking that way).

Anybody have any formatting suggestions, or for that matter, reading suggestions for a way

to automatically make sentences wrap into tidy 80 character lines (or some such)?
