I agree that we're in deep kimchee at the 1 and the 5. House is a nice offensive spark off the bench when he's "on"; particularly when on the floor with the big 3, he'll get wide open looks, which he can definitely knock down. Perkins as a starting center is averageat best, and more truthfully, slightly below average. None of our backupbigs are greater than 6'8" (other than the perpetually injured Pollard, who, frankly, ain't all that great when completely healthy). The Big 3 are going to have to play monster minutes for this team tobe competitive.Having seen what I have in the preseason, with the roster as it presently is,I'll submit an early prediction for the annual number of wins poll... 48.As it has been ever since the Garnett trade, the 1 and the 5 remain huge concernsdespite all the happy talk about House doing just fine as a backup. And I loveRondo, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he's ready to be a starting PGon a championship team. I know, blasphemy, so crucify me (he's still oneof my favorite players).Even with all those concerns, it'll still be an exciting season. I expectChicago and Detroit to be better than us this year. We'll be in that nexttier with Miami, Toronto, Washington. I realize we've got a scintillatingBig 3, it's just that, as has been pointed out, they'll probably only combinefor 110 to 115 minutes. It's the other 230 that will hold the team down.>>PREDICTION: We end up trading Ray Allen for a BIG sometime
this season... only after the BIG THREE HYPE has sold out all home
games for the entire season. << - EggcentricThat would truly be a shocker.
