If there's one thing I've learned in twenty years of watching the
Celtics, it's this: You're never as good as you look beating up
on a bad team, and you're never as bad as you look getting
trounced by a good team.

Now, this is true of the Celtics in the most recent game
(beating up on a bad team). But it's ALSO true of the Knicks
(getting trounced by a good team).

Sure, the Knicks are bad. But we made them look TERRIBLE.
After all, they'd won their first two games.

We beat them by forty. The last time we beat a team so badly
in the preseason was 1988, and the starting lineup was Dennis
Johnson, Danny Ainge, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish.

Nice to see Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett walking
through that door.
