The word is grit. No grit.

yeah and I couldn't be happier! Not to be too redundant but the Knicks
looked HORRIBLE. Randolph may be a good addition on paper, but on the
court he just amplifies every bad tendency that all the other Knicks have.
If i were Isaiah (which i'm proud not to be) i'd start someone like Lee
or Balkman, just to have someone out there to play D and provide some
fire.
on to the real tema -- Celtics.
The best part of last night was the team play: passing, everyone hitting
the boards together, passing, running, cheering each other on. This team
has so many weapons -- duh -- and they're learning how to use them.
Paul's running and defending. This team is going to be great to watch.
2 minor irritations:
1. defending the high pick-and-roll is still an achilles heel. the feeling
was KG and/or Thibadeaux would help. i didn't see it in any of the 2.5
games i've seen.
2. sub patterns -- IMO there's no reason to ever not have 1 of KG, Ray
Allen or Pierce not on the floor. We've seen Doc regularly play 5 subs
(House, T. Allen or Pruitt, Posey, Scal, Powe) together at the end
of/start of quarters. This doesn't make ANY sense. Ray Allen seems the
perfect guy to play with Subs b/c he's more likely than Pierce to play as
part of that unit than as the lone star still out there. this wastes part
of the power of having the 3 stars on a team... IMO.
