Absolutely. Each player is supremely strong, and can
'handle' most centers in the low post. They will not
be backed down with ease. And with KG's superior weak
side defense, we can easily disrupt the other team's
ability to feed the post. KG makes everything
possible. Did you see who played center with him at
Minn? Dean Garrett, Earvin Johnson, Mark
Madsen....all you need to be is strong, smart,
hardworking, and get rebounds; Garnett takes care of
the rest.
On the offensive end, Big Baby works really well with
KG's skillset. They both can pass well, shoot from
range, and rebound. Powe while not the greatest fit
with KG on the offensive end, can crash weak side when
KG gets doubled and get offensive rebounds. He needs
to work on his passing and jump shooting, but those
will come in time if he works on them.
But as it stands right now, we have the perfect
centers to play next to KG--Perkins, Powe and Big
Baby. With Curry, tonight's game will be a good test
as to whether Powe and Baby can play effectively
against a real center.
